Extraordinary Staff Awards
Kenneth and Jana Kahn of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, established the Kenneth F. and Jana S. Kahn Extraordinary Staff Award in 2019 to honor employees who provide dedicated service to the campus community and live out the university’s mission to provide students with an extraordinary education in an inspiring environment with caring people.
The Kahn Extraordinary Staff Awards Endowment provides three annual awards for staff members who go above and beyond in their service to the University:
- One annual award of $5,000 will be presented to an hourly, full-time employee of High Point University;
- One annual award of $5,000 will be presented to a salaried, full-time employee of the High Point University staff; and,
- One annual award of $5,000 will be presented to an hourly, auxiliary staff member at a High Point University partner company.

IMPORTANT SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Nominations must be received by October 27, 2023 at 5 p.m. ET to be considered for the 2023 awards.
- Nominees may not self-nominate for this award.
- Nominations may be submitted by members of the High Point University community to include students, faculty and staff, and those who are employed by HPU’s partner employers; but, may not be submitted anonymously.
- Nominees must have completed three (3) full years of service to the HPU or partner company prior to the nomination deadline.
