Engage with HPU

HIGH POINT, N.C., July 18, 2019 – High Point University’s continued growth was enhanced recently by Don and Mary Gay Brady of Greensboro, North Carolina.

The Brady’s have given a generous gift to establish the Don and Mary Gay Brady Endowed Scholarship.

“We are most grateful for the support of our families like the Brady’s who value HPU’s God, family and country focus and give generously to provide scholarship aid for our outstanding students,” says HPU President Nido Qubein.

Recipients will be selected on the basis of financial need. First preference will be given to a student who is studying in the Webb School of Engineering.

Don grew up in Niagara Falls, New York. After serving in the U.S. Army, Don worked for Ingersoll Rand Inc. He went on to found Brady Sales and Services with a Trane franchise in 1962, as well as Brady Services. Don has been an innovator and leader for the HVAC service business ever since. Brady Services is now owned and operated by his son Jim Brady, who is an HPU advisor.

Don and Mary Gay enjoy spending time with their five children and 14 grandchildren and are active in their church, Our Lady of Grace.

“We see an outstanding university concentrated on focusing young people on careers where they can succeed and help America be all it can be,” says Don.
