Career Networking Fair

February 14 @ Noon - 2:00 p.m.
Slane Student Center

Stop by the Slane Student Center and make connections with companies that our own HPU parents represent. Ask questions about their industry, how to get internships, interviewing tips and more. It’s all about building a strong network and the ability to connect with someone in your potential job field.

Parents, represent your company and share information about not only your company, but also your job to help excite our students about their future.  All we ask of you is to share what you know about your industry and your current employer. If you wish to bring any materials to share, you are more than welcomed to do so. We will provide signage so students are able to easily see who you are representing.

If you wish to participate in this inaugural event, please complete the form here.

If you still have questions or would like additional information, please email Andie Overbeck, Manager of Family Programs, at aoverbeck@highpoint.edu.

The Sechrest Gallery of Art will host an exhibition of Morton and Kyoko Ushio Huber’s extensive collection of Ukiyo-e prints alongside Dr. Huber’s equally extensive collection of photographs taken during his residence and travels in Japan in the 1960s and 70s.

This exhibition highlights what is clearly a historically significant collection of prints and will pair the genre images they contain with Dr. Huber’s large-scale black and white photographs of 20th century Japan. Placing historic images alongside newer ones will provide visitors to the Gallery with the unique opportunity to envision daily life in Japan in a new way; to see the worlds created by masters of Japanese printmaking, including Hokusai and Hiroshige, through a personal lens; and to appreciate the beauty of Japanese culture across history.
