- Friday registration begins at Noon and ends at 8 p.m.
- Saturday registration begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m.
- Sunday activities begin at 10 a.m.
- The weekend concludes with Chapel Service on Sunday, February 16, 2020.
We welcome parents, guardians and immediate family members of all current HPU undergraduates. Your student is encouraged to attend Family Weekend events with you throughout the three days.
- What is the cost to attend the 3-day Family Weekend?
Family Weekend is complimentary for students and their immediate family members. HPU will be delighted to provide up to two (2) guests with complimentary meals. Meals may be used Friday – Sunday at any of the food service locations, except 1924 PRIME. Families wishing to purchase additional meals may do so once they arrive on campus at each food service location. Students may dine throughout the weekend using their standard meal plan.
Online reservations for Family Weekend will begin on Monday, December 2, 2019 and will end at 5pm (EST) on Monday, February 10. Please call the Campus Concierge at 336.841.4636 with any questions or comments.
- What happens after I register?
You will receive a confirmation email. When you arrive to campus you will receive Family Weekend welcome packet. Seating is limited at all events and available on a first come, first served basis.
- How do I make changes to my registration?
Changes to your registration information can be made prior to 5:00 p.m. noon (EST) on Monday, February 10 by calling the Campus Concierge at 336.841.4636.
- I have more than two family members attending. Can you accommodate them?
Yes, we would be happy to accommodate more than two guests per family. Additional guests are welcome to attend the weekend activities. Seating at all events is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Additional guests may purchase meals at any dinig locations using cash or credit.
- What happens when I get there?
The R. G. Wanek Center Registration Desk is your first stop. The Family Weekend welcome packet, including complimentary dining passes and schedules, must be picked up by parents. HPU staff and student volunteers will welcome you beginning at Noon on Friday. When you check in, you will receive:

- Important updates
- Complimentary meal booklet (limit two per family)
- Information on other weekend activities on campus
- How do I make reservations for 1924 PRIME during Family Weekend?
*At this time, 1924 PRIME has filled all available reservations. If you are interested in being added to the waiting list, call (336) 885-1924 or e-mail 1924prime@highpoint.edu. We encourage families to also enjoy our other dining facilities throughout campus.
- How do I find out about sorority and fraternity activities?
HPU’s sororities and fraternities often will host special events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during Family Weekend for members and their families. Please call the Office of Student Life at 336.841.9231 for more details.
- How do I get tickets to Family Weekend Events?
Family Weekend events will not be ticketed EXCEPT for the Planetarium shows (see below). Please pre-register for Family Weekend by using the online registration so we know you are coming. Seating is limited at all events and available on a first come, first served basis.
- How do I attend the Planetarium Shows?
Tickets for the planetarium shows will be available for pick-up at the entrance to the Culp Planetarium on Friday, 2/14 from 3:15pm - 5pm, and on Saturday, 2/15 from 9am - 4pm. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. Each show time will require tickets. Doors open 10 minutes before the show time.

- How do I attend the sporting events?
Family Weekend guests are not required to have tickets for the sporting events. Seating at the men's basketball game is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Guests will line up 60 minutes before the game.
Like your student. Wear purple to show your Panther pride! Wear comfortable shoes so you’re prepared for lots of walking. Bring your exercise gear if you plan to use the HPU Recreation facilities. Be prepared for all weather. Activities take place rain or shine.

During Family Weekend students will not need to secure visitor parking passes for their guests. Parking will be available in the parking lot across from the main entrance on Panther Drive. A Family Weekend shuttle route will be available for the weekend.
