Lemmo Family Establishes Scholarship

HIGH POINT, N.C., July 15, 2019 – High Point University’s continued growth was enhanced recently by Paul and Elizabeth Lemmo of Moorestown, New Jersey.
“We are most grateful for the support of our families such as the Lemmo’s who value HPU’s God, family and country focus and give generously to provide scholarship aid for our outstanding students,” says HPU President Nido Qubein.
The Lemmo family recently gave a generous gift to establish the Paul and Elizabeth A. Lemmo Endowed Scholarship.
Recipients will be selected on the basis of financial need with first preference given to those majoring in the human relations and/or psychology programs.
“We have been impressed with every aspect of High Point University from the day we stepped foot on campus with our daughter as a prospective student,” says Paul. “HPU has set itself apart from other colleges and universities with its beautiful environment, the seminars led by Dr. Qubein and mentorship from faculty. We believe that our daughter’s involvement and success at High Point did not happen by chance, but by the consistent support of everyone on campus.”
Paul Lemmo is vice president and general manager at Lockheed Martin in Moorestown, New Jersey. He has worked for the company for 30 years in various positions in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Florida and New Jersey. Elizabeth Lemmo currently volunteers with those in need in New Jersey and Philadelphia area.
Their daughter, Meghan, graduated from HPU in May and majored in human relations with a minor in psychology and leadership. She was involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters, Alpha Chi Omega sorority, Peer Mentor Program, Honors Scholar, Presidential Scholar and served as a University Ambassador. She also worked in various internships at Aflac, Disney, Center for Creative Leadership and Advance Home Care. She is continuing her career with Disney, working on their Leadership Development Team in Anaheim, California.
