Dawn and Norm Miller Family Generously
Donates $2 Million to HPU
HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 28, 2018 – Dawn and Norm Miller, from The Woodlands, Texas, are making a philanthropic investment at High Point University after their daughter’s meaningful experience as a student.
Norm Miller, CEO and Chairman of Conn’s, Inc., and wife, Dawn, have generously contributed $2 million to support HPU. The Millers’ daughter, Alexandra, graduated in May 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in communication from the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication. Alexandra was a member of Phi Mu sorority. Since graduation, Alexandra has been building her video and photography portfolio, and pursuing graduate schools in the field of video editing.
“We are thankful for the Miller family’s commitment to HPU,” says HPU President Dr. Nido Qubein. “They are a wonderful family who believe in the same principles upon which our university is founded.”
Dawn and Norm have two other children in addition to Alexandra. Mr. Miller received a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
“We were inspired to invest in HPU to help further the university’s growth and mission,” says Dawn Miller. “HPU is a God, family and country school, and these values resonate with our family.”
