HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 18, 2018 – Barry and Marla Lazarus of Weston, Florida, have made a $250,000 commitment to High Point University and the new Caine Conservatory. The 15,000-square-foot facility is currently under construction and is expected to be completed in winter 2019.
Barry Lazarus is an attorney in Tamarac, Florida. Marla Lazarus is a freelance food and travel writer. They are the parents of Brooke Lazarus, a 2018 graduate of HPU and member of the women’s soccer team.
“HPU made a real impact on our daughter Brooke’s life. We saw how much she grew and developed as a student," says Barry Lazarus. “We’re grateful for her experience and for our involvement at HPU. It’s important for us to continue supporting such an extraordinary environment for our future leaders.”
“The university continues to receive tremendous support from parents, showing how much they value the education their children receive at HPU,” says Dr. Nido Qubein, HPU president. “We are grateful for their gift, which supports the continued growth of our campus.”
