COVID-19 has created many unforeseen challenges across all sectors of the economy, including higher education. High Point University, like many of our loyal alumni, families, and supporters, has felt the impacts of these challenges. Yet, we are encouraged by the many successes realized through the innovation and hard work of our faculty, staff, and students.

In a matter of days, our faculty have prepared their course material to be taught from a distance. Academic support staff, like Student Success Coaches and Career Advisors, have provided remote life skills coaching. Our Student Life team has been working day and night to assist students as they transition away from campus. We have shipped essential academic items to students who may not be able to return for their personal belongings until later in the semester. Increased transportation needs have been met as students are driven to airports across North Carolina. We have reached out to individuals and organizations within the City of High Point to donate supplies and services to those in need.  HPU continues its commitment to providing an extraordinary education to our students, and to meet the needs of our community, and caring team of faculty and staff who have been affected by the global health crisis.

During this time of great uncertainty, the HPU Cares Fund has been established to meet the University’s most pressing needs and to support faculty, staff, students and community. Your 100% tax-deductible gift will be directed to the make the greatest impact.
